Re: Northern Illinois Airshow 2023

It was a great airshow, very laid back setting and good lineup. It was very odd to me that despite everything being so close I was getting a TON of heat haze in my shots.

Does anyone know why the Growlers don't take off in burner? They did the same at Oshkosh.

Unlikely, the black A-10 was transferred to DM a couple of months ago.

Re: EAA Air Venture Oshkosh 2023

From what I've heard it is unlikely that the MiG-21 from RFD will go to OSH.

Re: 61st Annual City of Chicago Air & Water Show (2019)

Here are my shots. I only went on Friday, the practice day. The Red Arrows did not fly on the practice day so I don't have any shots of them unfortunately. 1 https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48703374222_5cae80b25f_o.jpg F-16C 93-0540 SW 55th FS by Ivan Voukadinov , on Flickr 2 https://live.static...

Re: Milwaukee Air and Water Show 2019

The T-birds did like 4-5 "sneak passes" on Sunday. It was great. Not sure if it was planned to be that way but people kept getting caught off guard (myself included) :D  Ivan! No idea you were there as well - would have loved to say 'hi'! There's only 2 sneak passes in a T-Birds show...

I'll be there Friday. Look for me with a blue "Boeing" baseball hat.

Re: 61st Annual City of Chicago Air & Water Show (2019)

I am stoked to see this event, especially for the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team Red Arrows and this will be my first time I have gone to the Chicago Air & Water Show. I'm hoping a 70-300mm zoom will be plenty long for this event as I haven't been here before. Any pointers? I think 300mm probab...

Re: 2018 NAS Oceana Sept 22 & 23

Yes, this "secret" hardware inside an open panel on a jet in a dark hangar 500 feet away  . Sounds like excessive paranoia to me. The really secret stuff is not photographable. That includes avionics, software, capabilities, aircrew proficiency and experience, etc. There isn't any in...
