Re: Bournemouth Air Festival

Bournemouth Air Festival is the biggest of the UK's seaside airshows with four days of flying and other entertainment on the towns beaches and cliff top promenades. As well as four traditional daytime flying displays, Bournemouth also hosts three "Night Air" shows with the UK best pyrotechnic teams ...

Re: Clacton Air Show

The annual Clacton Airshow opens the August Bank Holiday for the Essex resort. Held over the Thursday and Friday it is a smaller show than the likes of Eastbourne and Bournemouth but still attracts a healthy crowd nearing 250,000 over two days. The relatively compact display site means there are a v...

Re: Airbourne: Eastbourne International Airshow 2019

The Eastbourne International Airshow is the first of the big four day seaside airshows during the summer holidays. As with the past two years, it has shared the weekend with the Biggin Hill Festival of Flight. After some challenging weather in 2018, it was a relief that for the flying display at lea...

Re: The Blades to "go global" & upgrade to GameBird GB1

The plans are far more profound and larger than Arthur's Bournemouth commentary and the RAeS article hint at. Its not just about the aircraft.

Certainly the plan for the launch of the "new team" during Spring 2020 could be quite spectacular and unique.

Re: Biggin Hill Festival of Flight 2019

In the UK and Europe at least, Biggin Hill is one of the most famous airshow venues anywhere. For over 40 years it was home to the International Air Fair until 2010. In 2014, airshows at the former Battle of Britain Sector Station were revived with the Festival of Flight. This is a smaller event tha...

Re: Canadian International Air Show 2019

Any news on practice day and/or schedule of performers? Trying to plan my time off request from work. If you become a CIAS Insider, they give you a daily schedule the day of the show. As for practice day, in the past it's been 11-2. Check TFRs and NOTAMs to double check. Side note: At Chicago the R...

Re: Canadian International Air Show 2019

It may be flying - but it won't be a "display." I think someone would have noticed a display 'work-up' by now if it were displaying. It performed a flypast in Halifax alongside the RCAF and Red Arrows so I expect more of the same. Glad to see the RAF/FCO making the most of the aircraft deployed and ...
