I'd say high. F-35 used flares last year.

Re: Thunder Over Louisville 2024

What side is will be the best for lighting? Im trying to get some good light shots of the Bone. Entirely depends on time of day and the angle you want. If light is the deciding factor, KY side has better light for most of the day (if it's clear). However, you will only get belly shots as the aircra...

Re: Thunder Over Louisville 2024

Yet again, Louisville has one of the best lineups in the entire country when it comes to military participation. Obviously the standard rules apply regarding if things actually show, but the past two years have been impressively good in keeping the initial and final lineups fairly consistent. Not to...

Re: Thunder Over Louisville 2024

Full lineups typically don't get posted until March-ish. The last couple years have been absolutely spectacular, so I'm hopeful for another good year.

Re: Crossroads Air Show 2023

Damn I would have gone if I knew offsite spots were available. I was not going to pay that parking price for one person driving from CLE. I actually planned on being on the east side of the airfield, since I assumed that all the commercial parking lots would be roped off on the west side but the di...

Re: Crossroads Air Show 2023

I went, though was offsite for the obvious reasons. Honestly, considering the grounds layout (both regarding spectators and room for statics) and the fact that I'd seen 90% of the performers before, I had a blast offsite. Weather was not amazing on Saturday, but who can control that (and Sunday, fro...

Re: Thunder Over Michigan 2023

Strike Eagles may be gone, but a CF-188B "exhibition" has been added. Honestly, I'll happily take that swap, since legacy Hornets of any kind are few and far between at this point, and it seems RCAF flying displays are becoming especially rare in states not named California.

Re: Thunder Over Michigan 2023

On Sunday, are there typically static display departures either during or immediately after the show? I've found it often depends on the show and layout, and there's a couple of the statics I'd love to catch in the air (C-123 mainly).
