Re: Airshow London 2017

Gerry always had a 135 show up in the past usually from Maine I believe Last year's was from Rickenbacker AFB in Ohio. Could really be from anywhere but Michigan (Selfridge), Ohio (Rickenbacker), Pennsylvania (Pittsburgh) and New York (Buffalo) are the closet based KC-135's. Hard to say where it'll...

Re: 2017 Abbotsford International Airshow

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but... There is only 1 RAF pilot qualified to display the Typhoon. As he is scheduled to appear at Blackpool that weekend, I seriously doubt that you will get a Typhoon display. I try and keep my eyes and ears open to any Typhoon deployments to North America and ...

Re: Airshow London 2017

I hope there are more and more announcements. I am decisively torn between this show and NAS Oceana's Show the week after. I can't do both as I live in Seattle, but I want the show I choose to be more exciting. Anyone have any idea how often announcements will be made from now on?

Re: 2017 Abbotsford International Airshow

Yes. Dutch F-35! finally someone got it....sorta. Don't hate me fellas but here's how my clues ended up. Old school Dictionary definition of a Clog (footwear) was literally "Long block or piece of wood". I figured if someone could narrow this definition to Clog footwear they'd surmise tha...

Re: 2017 Abbotsford International Airshow

So at work today it dawned on me; what does a drain make when it has been unclogged? A waterspout. What are waterspouts? Tornados. So the tornado is a jet, check. Now comes the fun part. What airforce flies Tonkas and has something that would resemble a thick piece of wood? The Luftwaffe and their C...

Re: 2017 Abbotsford International Airshow

U-2 is a great Guess. incorrect...but great. Actually, all of these guesses have been quite entertaining  So barring it being something other than American or Canadian, my friend and I were discussing it this weekend and we think it might be an RC-12 Guardrail. I know they aren't jet powered b...

Re: 2017 Abbotsford International Airshow

Perhaps the wood reference may be to the 2x4 looking wings? OK, this is driving me nuts... Cyclone...final answer. Good guess but no cigar. I should clarify that this aircraft HAS been to Abbotsford before..but only once. Sorry I cant be more specific and give better hints. Jinxing and all......

You guys got AC #1. AC #2 isn't in the list so far ;)
Is AC #2 a military jet? Does it belong to a non-canadian air force?
