Thank you for the update. Sad to see them not there.Bretten Bailey wrote: ↑Mon Dec 04, 2017 7:55 pm Note that the Snowbirds will NOT be performing at Airshow London in 2018 (as its presently still stated in the original post. I've been told once that they'll be in London and once that they'll be in Quebec. Can anyone from ASL confirm that they will/won't be there?Bretten Bailey wrote: ↑Mon Dec 04, 2017 7:55 pm Note that the Snowbirds will NOT be performing at Airshow London in 2018 (as its presently still stated in the original post. I am confused by this. The release of the 2018 schedule today for the Snowbirds indicates that they are scheduled to be in London. You would know better than me, but it seems to be conflicting information. Wonder which is correct?Bretten Bailey wrote: ↑Mon Dec 04, 2017 7:55 pm Note that the Snowbirds will NOT be performing at Airshow London in 2018 (as its presently still stated in the original post. It seems settled; the Snowbirds just posted a text version of their schedule that clearly includes Mont-Joli instead of London. I had been told that a copy at ICAS showed London but that seems incorrect at this point.
I've updated our copy of the SBs schedule to reflect their Quebec appearance. I'm sure the St. Thomas performance is the reason why they looked elsewhere that weekend.

It really sucks no snowbirds are coming this year but maybe they can get another big name. It would be nice to see the Blue Angels. Maybe the C-5 can make it this year for a static display.

I wouldn't get your hopes too high, the Blues were mandated to take rest weekends periodically after the 2016 crash. I think if they were looking for a show that weekend it'd be listed as open or TBD.martin_sam_2000 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 05, 2017 4:46 pmWho knows...the Blues do have a gap that weekend.Chris199348 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 04, 2017 10:52 pm It really sucks no snowbirds are coming this year but maybe they can get another big name. To take this discussion even further afield, I have seen speculation (nothing I'd call reliable but the dots are there to connect) that the Red Arrows might be planning some sort of visit around the time of London. The Battle of Britain flyover in Ottawa is on the Snowbirds schedule for the weekend after ASL and it'd be fitting for the Reds to be there.
Of course, I've heard about the Reds coming over every year since the last time so who knows.

Interesting development!
BlackBurn News.com has an article on, not just the addition of the Snowbirds, but quoting Airshow Executive Director Dave De Kelver about some major announcements coming this month!
Should be an interesting month ahead!

Well since they haven't announced the F-16 demo yet I think we can assume that's one of the major announcements.
