So...3rd weekend in. Have the 2 Raptors left yet?Chuter wrote: ↑Fri Sep 21, 2018 3:02 am The weather part has nothing to do with the Hurricane. Tyndall AFB is in Florida, no where close to a Hurricane. So the media reported that wrong. Them sticking around has absolutely nothing to do with weather, at all.
Both jets experienced some major mechanical issues which have kept them here being worked on. They were supposed to be gone this past monday be ran into the same issues again. There isn’t a timeline on their departure.

F-22’s have yet to leave. They completed successfully engine run ups this past Sunday. Crew has told me pilots will be here for Wednesday to try and get out of here.Raptor Prey wrote: ↑Mon Sep 24, 2018 12:17 amSo...3rd weekend in. If they can get going wednesday with no problems,
they’ll leave then. If not, they’ll try again Thursday.

F-22 Raptors left today. Still an F-5 here for probably another few weeks.

Awesome! Thanks for the update. Im guessing that once the Raptors return to Tyndall they will need to pull out the engines for recertification and diagnostics. Cant have recurring engine issues, even if these Raptors are only used for Training and not combat coded....

A pilot will be coming up next week to ferry home the F-5 since the original pilot is still going through some medical issues.
