Expecting the Blue Angels to do a flyby like that is like expecting the CF-18 to do flybys with the Snowbirds... we all want to see it but it likely won’t happen at Abbotsford.
Although unlikely, I wouldn’t say it’s impossible.
Abbotsford is known for its unique flybys. Who remembers in 2004 when there was a CF-18 and F-15C flying in formation with the Snowbirds on media day?!
Too bad it’s not 2004 and lots of rules/regulations have changed.
Edit: after going back into some old home videos it turns out the formation happened in 2003. How could I forget, it was the year we had the Tiger Meet scheme hornet and the last year we saw the Blues!

We had a really sweet flyby in 2016 featuring the Snowbirds in the lead, followed by the CF-18 demo jet, and then the Breitling Jet Team in the back.. That was very cool to see. Did anyone get a photo of that, it was only one pass?

I remember that clearly: I was on Huntingdon Road and would've had a great little iPhone video of the flyby if only I'd actually hit the record button!
Sigh...
On a different note: in light of the likely more strictly enforced closures of Huntingdon Road, what are people's plans for the Thursday? I'm usually parked on Huntingdon (met airshowaddict there last year), but thinking I might have to park in the terminal lot this year.

The terminal parking isn't so bad. Plus it's better for my friends kids, to run around and play as opposed to the semitruck speedway on Huntington. We always have a good vantage point to the demos .

They've added pictures of various civilian aircraft that will be on static display; virtually no interest to me, but may be of interest to some.
Other than the expected F-16s. nothing too exciting this week. We'll see if anything else intriguing shows up in the last week or two.

On the Facebook page, the expected CT-155 Hawk confirmed for static display.

Looks like Fat Albert has a practice slot booked for Seafair, and is supposed to fly an abbreviated demo every day down there. Since the Blues are arriving in Abby August 6th right after SeaFair without heading back to Pensacola first, one could assume Fat Albert will accompany the Blues up to Abby too!
None of this confirmed of course but I'd say it's looking promising.

A thought I had was they want to get practicing in for the crew so it may not do a full demo but seeing it in the air is a possibility.

I see that there is a USAF C 17 demo at Oshkosh. Hopefully it makes its way up here.

Does anyone know what the SkyHawks are going to jump from? I was thinking CC-115 or CC-130.
