I would assume one of those would do it, depending on availability. They are reliant on what is at to the show. They have also used a C-17 , Twin Otter and a civilian aircraft( can't remember the type but do recall the animals painted on the side)theairshowdude wrote: ↑Sat Jul 28, 2018 10:45 pm Does anyone know what the SkyHawks are going to jump from? I was thinking CC-115 or CC-130.
There is a CT-155 Hawk sitting at the Shell today. Apparently came in Friday afternoon.

Ahh yes, I think 2008 was the year we had the Skyhawks jump out of the Safari paint schemed aircraft (I think it was a Cessna Grand Caravan?)riffraff wrote: ↑Sun Jul 29, 2018 3:11 amI would assume one of those would do it, depending on availability. Also the Hawk will not be at CYXX long, it’s departing sometime today or tomorrow.

The Jump platform that year for the Skyhawks was a CASA C-212.
The Hawk left at 10:15 this morning. I was out for a walk this morning by the airport along Huntington when it left. Perfect timing.

Isn't that the year when the CC 130J sat by the Conair hangers broken down all weekend?cf18hornet wrote: ↑Sun Jul 29, 2018 8:58 pm The Jump platform that year for the Skyhawks was a CASA C-212.

On a curious note , what will the norad demo consist of? Will it be similar to the heritage flight ? 3 passes in formation , a break and a pass each. Either was I cant wait to see the 15 fly. I come out every year for arrivals, dont recall to many times seeing it fly.

Pretty much exactly this. At least this was the case in Cold Lake.Lancerb1b wrote: ↑Tue Jul 31, 2018 4:00 pm On a curious note , what will the norad demo consist of? On a different note, two Snowbirds just completed a few passes here in Vancouver over English Bay. Likely prep for tomorrow night's performance.
Edit: 1:25 Full team completed a couple of passes - looking forward to a rare show over the city. Does anyone know if it's a full show or an abbreviated performance?

We already have the inside scoop, so nothing too new of an update but the A-4 Skyhawk has now officially been announced as a flying performer by the Abbotsford Airshow.
Glad that everything worked out to secure this aircraft for a demo slot!
So are the Blue Angels expected here some time between August 6-8? Been hearing this rumour and figured I’d ask if anyone had also been told something along those lines.
