Can anyone recommend a good restaurant (for lunch) near YXX? We always used to pop into The Baron but last year it was garbage. It had been declining for several years and now it is at the point we will not go back.

The Baron has definitely gone downhill since being purchased by new management.

I would suggest taking the 5 minute drive on Mt Lehman towards the High Street Mall which is an outdoor Mall located near the Airport Sandman right off Highway 1. Lots of food options available here.

I would recommend The Canadian Brewhouse for sure, but if that’s not up your alley, there is a Denny’s built in the Airport Sandman.

Agreed, Brodeur's is awesome.

On the Airshow front looks like Steve Hinton will be flying the Ericksson P-47 in the show. As well looks like couple more USAF and USN statics are confirmed, and I'm guessing will be released in the next few days. (Not a B-1 if you're wondering)

The Baron isn't even open anymore although there is a rumour it may open for airshow week. You are right about the quality of the food and how it deteriorated. It always seemed to get more expensive while the quality lessened.

I also give a thumbs up to Brodeur's just north of the automall.

I can't even begin to guess what they could be but it's nice to see a few more American assets coming.

According to the new Airshow App, the following additions have been made to the static display:

US Navy - F/A-18 Superhornet
USANG C-130J Super Hercules

Interesting to note that the F-15 is no longer listed as a static display, however the F-15 is still listed as participating in the NORAD flight.

Also missing on the app is the USCG HC-144 Ocean Sentry. Possibly cancelled?
