Those of you in the Abbotsford area this weekend (March 10,11) be sure to keep your eyes peeled as you may just catch a glimpse of a C-5 Galaxy at CYXX along with a tanker aircraft.

More info: https://www.abbynews.com/news/meet-an-a ... in-a-tank/

Edit: I’m fairly certain the “tanker” ride is a typo and probably is referring to a ground vehicle as opposed to a tanker aircraft

From this picture of last years' event you may see several aircraft coming into the airport!

That's an impressive lineup for this event. Kudos to them. Do they work with the airshow office at all?

A-10C Thunderbolt II and Spitfire Mk IX added to the static display as per the website.

Really nice to see some different warbirds on the static ramp!

Although I applaud the early and frequent updating of the website this year, the website continues to use inconsistent wording, eg. B-17 vs A10. Drives me and my OCD crazy.

Still better than the Abbotsford Airshow web site :) ...at least 2017 version.

Based on the website (which as we know ain't the most accurate) the Spitfire MK9 could be from the Vintage Wings of Canada Collection.
The "Roseland" Spitfire that just got restored to flying status last June.

That is great that the Spitfire will be on static. The general public rarely gets to see one up close, as she is always flying.
