Haha, I think everyone is happy here!
Getting back on track with Abby 2018, it appears there will be a slightly new set up this year with a stadium style seating available for those who purchase tickets for the “Craft Beer Experience” which are now available online.
More information is available here: https://www.abbotsfordairshow.com/ticke ... randstand/
I’m looking forward to this set up along with the “VIP” seats that are available upfront. I just hope the stadium seating doesn’t end up obstructing the view for the people packed in the General Admission area. Although, it could possibly provide a cool shady area which is sometimes rather sparse when the sun is scorching hot!

Arrivals to the Girls Fly Too event. More heavies at this show than at the actual airshow in the last few years.

Add Erickson P-47 and Hellcat to flying events! P-47 will join A-1 and A-10 for the Heritage Flight. Erickson Corsair and US Navy Seahawk added to static display. Per Abbotsford Airshow web site.

Man, that is a really strong warbird display this year, including static. Has a Hellcat ever been here before? I am looking really forward to seeing them all, and probably more to be added, including Harvards.

Edit: The Corsair is no longer on the flying page, just listed for static display.Chris Smallenberg wrote: ↑Thu Mar 22, 2018 8:57 pm Add Erickson P-47 and Hellcat to flying events! Lots of cool Warbirds in the air and on the ground this year.

I am glad that the Abbotsford Airshow is doing a great job of keeping the public updated this year, it shows that they are listening to our feedback from last year.
I hope they continue to provide accurate information. I can understand why sometimes constantly updating a website can become tedious. It’s getting to the point where cancellations start to occur as well so that can impact things but I appreciate the effort they have made thus far. I wouldn’t mind if we get a tentative list from them like some air shows do so long as they make it apparent that it is “tentative” and not set in stone.
Also wouldn’t mind a surprise or two

Would civilian airliner demonstrations ever return to Abby?
It has been years, probably 15 years at least..They were an incredible sight to behold.

It feels like every couple of days something is being added to the show!
And this seems like as good of a time as any to say that static displays from the USAF will be UNLIMITED this year after several years of restrictions! I found this in the fine print of an Air Combat Command Aerial Events document. Here is the first USAF heavy to make the website (We'll see how things progress from now):
Static addition:
USAF MC-130J Commando II
