A Red Star formation clinic will be taking place on Friday, July 13th & Saturday, July 14th. Right now a bunch of pilots are signed up in planes ranging from RVs to L-39s. The roster will continue to grow. Those who qualify during the clinic on Friday & Saturday will be able to perform flypasts during the air show on Sunday.

After a hiatus in 2017, the Livingston County Airshow will return in 2018 at Livingston County Spencer J. Hardy Airport in Howell, Michigan.

The first two years were held in conjunction with the Michigan Challenge Balloon Fest. The 2018 edition will be taking place on a different day....Sunday, July 15th.

While the lineup is still being assembled, expect numerous aerobatic acts, several warbirds (of both the jet & prop variety) as well as tons of static displays.

Randy Henderson (Texas T-Cart Airshows), Ron Staley (L-39) and the Screamin Rebels T-6 Team will be present. More to be confirmed later.

I knew that there was a fly-in last year but the airshow kind of slipped under my radar while I was in WI. I saw a mention of this a while back and penciled it in on my calendar!

Just a heads up, July 18th is a Wednesday. Not a Sunday.

Total typo. Probably because I was typing it on the 18th. It is Sunday, JULY 15TH. Have corrected it. Thanks

It should be noted that this event will end up being a tad different than your usual air show. So, we may get some interesting and fun participants.

Well, I wish there was some better news in this post. But the 2018 Airshow won't be held and has been pushed back to 2019 to focus on holding an even bigger show and bring in some more sponsorships.

I'll update everyone about the Red Star Formation clinic that may still be happening that weekend.

Well I sure hope the clinic is still a go. Might be more fun for me than a show anyway!

He's right, it was a pretty decent time even with the overcast and eventual rain. Here are some photos before I get ready for Oshkosh!
