For many of the UK military display teams and a few civilian acts, Southport Airshow was their final public stop of the 2019 season. The show takes place each year when the tide is at its lowest so the extensive sandy beach can be used as a showground and a parking lot! The show was notable as it marked the final public display by the Shorts Tucano T1 in RAF service and also the UK public display debut of the Swedish Air Force Historic Flight's SAAB Sk37E Viggen. The show has expanded to three days recently with a Friday evening display added to the traditional and longer daytime displays over the weekend. More photos and a full review can be found HERE:
