True as that may be, the considerable surprise expressed online by some long-standing RIAT regulars indicates I'm not completely on my own being momentarily nonplussed by this. I'm sure others, like me, are not surprised in the slightest that there's a civilian display, but that it's this one in particular. I guess it's just because the Blades have been around for well over a decade but it's never happened before. Not that I'm complaining, mind. I'm quite looking forward to it.

Romanian Air Force MiG-21 LanceR (flying & static) and C-27J Spartan (static) added, according to the Hungarian site Airshowinfo. They haven't given a source (at least, not at the time I read it) but they are usually very reliable. This is fantastic news if true!

Post on a Facebook group, by the same person who has correctly 'confirmed' the participation of the Ukrainian Su-27 "Flanker" with a patch for the show in the past, suggesting it'll be returning once again this year.
