+Erickson collection P-47 and P-38 Lightning. Awesome if it's true! Would be the first P-38 in Abbotsford since early 1980's I believe.

+CH-148 Cyclone SAR demo
I believe the app. It's run by the airshow society.

Good to see the Cyclone there, I know some of the 443 Sqn people out of Victoria Intl when they retired the Sea King.

An airshow volunteer newsletter confirms the Thunderbolt and Lightning from Erickson and 2 Mustangs, Impatient Virgin and Val Halla.

With the new fighter jet evaluation back on, is it likely that AIAS might get a SAAB Gripen and/or a Eurofighter Typhoon show up to show off?

Mike Tryggvason added, another aerobatic act...just what we needed. Lets hope some decent statics emerge soon. If I recall this time last year there was already quite a few listed.

As cool as that'd be. I'd also HIGHLY doubt it.

At the show last year, I was told that the Luftwaffe felt bad about the A400M cancellation and would try to have a Eurofighter at this years' show. You never know.

I wouldn't count on a Eurofighter but an A400 is a strong possibility.

That would be much appreciated, especially if we could please get a Eurofighter flying demo ;-).

Not from Germany. The Luftwaffe barely do any flying displays and have no dedicated demonstration teams. Within Germany they do a small handful of role demo style displays each year at base open days and ILA. Very rarely they have done Eurofighter mini-demos at foreign events, but by "very rarely" I mean once every few years, and always in neighbouring countries.

Eurofighter has had a booth here the last few years and each year the pilots have expressed their willingness to bring an aircraft to the event... too bad they aren’t the shot callers.

The A400M cancellation last year was unexpected and very last minute. Disappointing indeed but I wouldn’t expect the Luftwaffe to send a Eurofighter this year just because of that.

Looks like a tentative release for statics will be available around June. In terms of performers I expect a couple more things to be added. There is still an available time slot on Friday and Saturday and 2 on Sunday. Wonder what will fill those. ;)
