RAF Eurofighters from RAF Lossiemouth were tentatively confirmed one year but then recalled for Baltic air policing. Would be nice to have at very least a booth with swag.

Abby is working very hard on getting the Luftwaffe A400 back this year. It cancelled last year while the aircraft was on the way here according to Jim.

Do you know something or is that a hunch?

Would be cool if we got a Saab or Euro but I bet booths are the best we'll get from both. The Super will already be coming to Abby and the F-35 would be the only other aircraft likely to come because of the comp.

Main post has been updated. Very nice to see the CC-177 Globemaster III confirmed for flying and static.

An awesome addition! However I've only seen them confirm it for flying display, are you sure it is on static as well?

I cant recall the year , but I remember the usaf c17 demo at abby . On practice day , that slow , almost resembling a high alpha pass was fantastic. Quite a sight to see , and I enjoyed seeing it fly

My understanding is that an attempt is being made to put the demo aircraft on static if possible after flying. Of course that's all subject to logistics. Either way there will be 2 C-17's on the ground with the Thunderbird's support aircraft parked in the restricted area.

FWIW when I went in 2016, Eurofighter had a booth and guaranteed they would have a plane would be there in 2017. Obviously one didn't show, and they said in 2017 it would show in 2018, again no show. It would be great if they brought a Eurofighter to the show but understandably the logistics of getting one to Abbottsford is hard. As for the A400 again it would be great but I will take any european aircraft with a grain of salt as logistics are difficult.

Overall it looks like a great show this year, hoping more gets added as I haven't much enjoyed the show since 2016.

The Thunderbirds don't have a dedicated C-17, so its not guaranteed to stay in Abbotsford for the entire weekend. At some shows it arrives and drops off equipment and personnel and then returns to other missions before returning after the show for pickup.

Good point, although it wouldn't be much of a loss since it won't be accessible to the general public if it did end up staying for a significant amount of the show. Also makes for more opportunity for pictures during it's departure and arrivals!

Side note - since the CC-177 static situation is based on a number of factors I have currently removed it from the main post in order to keep this thread as accurate as possible.

Also it looks like there will be a Jet vs. Car race between the DH.115 Vampire and one of the high performance sports vehicles being brought to the show by Precision Exotics.

Does anyone know if CC-177 #704 still has the coloured tail? Would be nice to see it after it cancelled a couple of years ago.
