For those who are interested, the tentative time scheduled for the Thunderbirds practice on Friday is 10AM - 11AM.

It might be wise to get there early should this be the case. Of course, times are subject to change.

I have a feeling that the F-5's are gonna cancel though. They've cancelled from a few shows lately including Thunder over Michigan couple days ago.
Where any of the other shows they cancelled East coast shows?

Totally random question. Did the Granley's have a falling out with the airshow? They used to be a staple, with multiple acts every year. Just popped into my head, not sure if anyone will actually have information regarding this. Not that I really miss the acts, although I enjoyed the Fouga. For all I know they don't perform at airshows any longer.

They don't do many shows anymore. They were at Boundary Bay and I think that they will be at Chilliwack.

I am assuming that Huntington will be closed and everyone kicked out when the Tbirds practice.

There's a backstory there that I won't get into. But yes a falling out of sorts. Plus Bud's gettin up there in age, not sure how many shows he's up for anymore.

Looking like Thursday is going to be...busy (in a good way 8-) )

Even Dave might decide to join in on the fun!

I guess you could say that but there is more to it. Ever since the Airshow started to incorporate a night show on Friday, they have tried to get civilian acts that can fly both day and night acts. With the local civilian acts we have been accustomed to such as Bud Granley, this just simply isn’t the case. The show is a non-profit organization and it’s not easy for them to get a different set of performers specifically for a night show. They need to book up Friday with acts that are able to perform both night and day. Another reason is that Abbotsford tries to keep things different from other Lower Mainland shows to change things up a bit and add some variety. With that in mind, I hope we get an opportunity to see Bud fly at Abbotsford in the near future as he’s been a staple for many years.

Haven't posted in a while, but I'm always watching so I thought I'd chime in.

Is that a tease of a few more last minute announcements, Bingofuel?

The lineup is pretty stacked as is... This is easily the largest number of heavies and fast movers we've had in a while. Great variety with some new and rare military aircraft.

I've been posting photos from last year on facebook to get hyped for the show. You can check them out on my personal page or on a few different pages here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/187107784721780/ Im sure most of the Abby regulars are in at least one of the groups I've shared in.

Here's a little taste! Happy Warthog Wednesday everyone!

Let’s not get off topic please.

This thread is for discussion about the 2019 show and I don’t want it to get into off topic things, especially now that we are 9 days away from showtime.
