So I’d like to be on Clearbrook near the landing lights. Do they clear this area during Thunderbirds? Any advice for not getting moved along? Is there a similar location on the west side of the airport?
Sorry to rain on your parade but Clearbrook road will be impossible to watch the airshow from. While the road stays open during the airshow the cops immediately remove anyone who stops. Even if you don’t have a car and decide to walk they will remove you once you stop walking. Regarding the west side of the airport Mt. Lehman Rd. stays open as well but they have “no stopping” signs there year round. You’ll be able to walk there but not sure if they’ll allow you to stop.

Thanks for the advice.
Anyone know what the performers use as the showline? Is it east/west runway (Runway 07/25)? Or the taxiway that runs parallel to that? Or something different?

Has anyone heard when the Thunderbirds are expected to arrive? I'm aware of a possible practice Friday AM, but I'm also wondering if this means that a Thursday practice is unlikely. This could impact whether or not we can expect Huntington (+ Terminal ) to be cleared on Thursday.
Thanks!

Correct, the taxiway that runs parellel to 07/25 is the 1500 foot showline. There's also a 1000 and 500 foot showline for slower aircraft, or non-aerobatic high speed passes. For example, the Blue angel "Sneak pass" at 0.9 mach last year was along the 500' showline, as it is a non-aerobatic pass.

Thunderbird advance aircraft should get in on Wednesday, and the rest of the team Thursday. I'd expect noon-ish for both, since last time they came was around those times.

They most likely won't practice thursday. The big jet teams Blues, T-Birds etc don't typically practice the same day they arrive. But I'd expect a decent amount of "site survey" flybys on the thursday as they evaluate their airspace and determine visual markers. That usually takes a good 1/2 hour.
