Thanks for the updates, Ryan. I'll probably still head over tomorrow morning even if it is a small turnout. I imagine the jets, as well as the TBM from Joliet might come in the AM since they're local. Bummer about the weather.

After waiting around all day to get in, Jordan Brown's C47, Beech 18, Matt Younkin's Beech 18, and the Spanish Lady T6 showed up in formation and did some great passes. As soon as they passed over the field, the 6th TBM did a sneak pass from behind the hangar. Awesome!

Another T6 made it in, decent crowd on the ramp. Younkin flies at 830 followed by TBM runup

Definitely better weather today! Posting the schedule but it is not very accurate. They are trying to fly more in the morning because of storm chances this afternoon. Basically different combinations of T6s, TBMs, and the C47 all day. The F5 is doubtful, T33 and T28 canceled. Younkin will fly his full show this morning and then leave.

It was a lot shorter of a day than I anticipated. Arrived about 9 a.m. and got back to my vehicle right when the weather closed in. I think there was something in the air almost the entire time I was there and it made the trip worth it. Having aircraft up in the morning was a nice plan and the number of aircraft they were still able to get up as the weather closed in was greatly appreciated. Not surprised most of the other aircraft cancelled given the forecast the rest of the day and tomorrow. Too bad.
Didn't take many pics as most of the aircraft I'd seen and photographed a bunch of times before, but will try to post a few in the next couple days.

I want to reiterate my compliments to the organizers and pilots for creating an event flexible enough to get most of the aircraft in the air before the weather closed in. In my experience, there aren't many events that would be able to take advantage of favorable weather before a traditional afternoon airshow. It's too bad the weather didn't allow more aircraft to attend, but they did the best they could with what they had. Well done to all involved.
Some TBM action. I didn't hear the story related to why the TBM got the firetruck treatment, but it looked like there was a veteran in the back seat. Honors for a final flight in the TBM?
