With the ICAS convention coming up, its an exciting time for the 2019/2020 (preliminary) airshows. It also can be disappointing for some, if shows have to cancel for various reasons.
The Rhode Island National Guard announced Thursday that their 2019 edition of the show will be cancelled due to having too many of their troops on deployment.
The show was scheduled for June 29-30 with the Thunderbirds headlining.
They plan on returning in 2020.

Rhode Island cancelled in 2019?
Very sad and disappointing.
This is one of the top Northeast airshows.
I think the Greater New England Airshow (Barnes/Westover) has nothing scheduled for 2019, so the area will be without a good show.
