I saw the website for the JBA airshow is up now, but I spotted this:

Do we think this means we're to assume no large lenses?

I don't think that is what this means...or at least hope. The website says camera bags less than a cubic foot are allowed, while those over a cubic foot are prohibited. I have the Think Tank Digital Holster 50 V2 which based on the external dimensions would calculate out to a little less than half a cubic foot. That holster will fit a gripped Canon body, 1.4x III teleconverter, and 100-400 II lens. I am hoping that is acceptable as I intend to be at that air show with that combo. Now, if by larger lenses you mean say a 500 f4, that may be a problem. Maybe someone else has attended before under the same restrictions or someone that has already researched this for this year's show can chime in.

Could always contact the organizers and find out for sure. Better to find out now than the day of the show!

They had roughly the same rule 2 years ago, I could take my camera in with the big lens, but couldn't bring my bag.

500 f4 is exactly what I mean... I sent the organizers a message for clarification.

I also attended two years ago with my large lens, but their wording then in the FAQ was simply members of the public are allowed to bring cameras, it didn't mention the bag size in the same sentence.

With ceilings of just 200 feet forecast for tomorrow, the show has decided to preemptively cancel all flying activities for tomorrow. Today is the only day to see acts in the air! The grounds will be open tomorrow for anyone who wishes to visit the static displays.
AIR SHOW WEATHER | Big news, so please read carefully and then share! First: Today’s weather looks GREAT. Tomorrow, however, the cloud ceilings will be too low for flying. Therefore, all SUNDAY aerial demos have been canceled. Several static displays will also have to depart. The public is still welcome to visit our airfield (via FedEx Field shuttles); some statics will stay and the STEM hangars will be up and running.

Bottom line: Get to JBA TODAY to catch Legends In Flight!

Terrible situation for any show, but looking at the forecast I think they are probably doing the right thing. We all know how annoying it is when shows stick to the "we're going to try to fly once it clears up!" line even when everyone knows it won't. Trying to get the word out early enough for everyone to attend today is a good move. Just 200 feet is nowhere close to flyable.

Enjoyed the show, fortunately the weather just about held off on Saturday, but it was definitely unfortunate that they had to cancel the Sunday flying.
Great to see the A-10 Demo team, got a little worried when they were having some technical difficulties just before they were due to start, but fortunately they were able to fix the issue. A few of my pics below:
