I really hope this is true, but this isn't the first year I have heard this and it didn't happen.

You can add the following performers as well:

-GEICO Skytypers
-B-25 "Panchito"
-Commemorative Air Force P-51C Red Tail Squadron
-SHOCKWAVE Jet Truck

In addition, the hometown aircraft of the UH-1N Iroquois, F-16 Fighting Falcon and KC-135 Stratotanker will be performing. It is possible a C-40 may also participate.

USAF Band and USAF Honor Guard/Drill Team will also be performing.

I went to Andrews in 2008 I think it was and had one of the worst experiences I've had at an airshow. Shockingly it wasn't security for once, it was the people in the crowd. Hands down the pushiest, rudest, nastiest people to watch a show with. Short of a visit from the Russian Knights, I will not go back.

I have noticed that too, a lot seem to be foreign national working or visiting DC. I did paid seating and it was a million time better.

While I will probably attend just based on rarity of the Blues and T-Birds at the same show, I will agree that Andrews has consistently been one of the more miserable experiences I can recall at any location in the country.

It all starts with the bus situation. It is fairly organized getting in from Fedex field assuming you arrive early. On the way out it is absolute chaos. If you don't walking to the bus line while the headliner is still flying it can literally can back up a quarter of a mile throughout the base with thousands of people cutting you in line. I have literally seen near fist fights in those lines over the years. The last time I attended I used the Branch Avenue Metro station and that was a much better experience, but I don't think they are offering that anymore.

That leads back to the attendees. I have literally had my chair moved/folded up, been pushed by people, had people set up directly on top of me. There is absolutely no courtesy at this show and Ryan is spot on. When you add that to the fact the runway is so far away that seems like it is in Alexandria VA, this typically leads to a frustrating day. It is typically a good line-up and a great static display that is marred by what I outlined above.
