Call Numbers on Vulcans at London ONTARIO
Call Numbers on Vulcans at London ONTARIO
Hello all!
I went to my first airshow, the London International Air Show (LIAS) in 1981. (This is in London, Ontario, CANADA. Not England.) I was four. It was totally amazing. I had never even seen real planes before, and here was my hometown airport overflowing with all shapes and sizes of them.
One of my dad's and my favourite planes was the Vulcan. It was, and still is, amazing to see it fly. Of course, I can only get to see XH558 fly in modern "full colour", and that's only on YouTube.
However, what I'd like to know is if anyone has any pictures or information about the Vulcans that were at the LIAS in the early '80s. I believe we had our last Vulcan demo in 1983, but it could have been 1982. I would really like to know the call numbers of the last Vulcan demo we ever had.
Why?
I would like to build a model of that aircraft. I can't do that accurately without the right call numbers.
If anyone has any old photos of the Vulcan at London International Airport from those shows, can you post them?
Thanks!

Vulcan "XL426" (Now preserved at London Southend Airport) flew at the 1982 show.

Oh man, that's awesome!
You don't have any pics of it, by chance, do you?

Glad I was of assistance though.

XM602 also displayed at the 1981 show if that's of any use too. There are a few pics of it on Airliners.net.
