Sonic Boom?

Post by aje » Wed Dec 19, 2018 3:56 am

Hello! I was wondering what my best bet for experiencing a sonic boom was? I live in the states and am willing to travel. It’s kind of a bucket list item.

Thanks so much!

Airshow wise, Edwards and Wendover UT are the only shows I've heard of featuring a planned sonic boom.

I've also been told you can hear them if you head to certain spots in the Nevada desert during Red Flag

If you don't care about an airplane making it, rocket launches also produce booms especially the SpaceX ones that come back to land

Swiss Air Force demo at Axalp https://www.vtg.admin.ch/en/organisatio ... axalp.html has sonic booms as well as live fire. Its a tough climb to get up to it though.
