Spotting-KCLT Charlotte Douglas Intl Airport

Post by Airplanefreak2000 » Mon Mar 20, 2017 2:51 am

Hey all,

I just moved to charlotte back in may and was able to get me a new camera about a month ago. Charlotte has a very nice park that overlooks the center runway. It's a very cool place. Here are a mixed bag of things I've seen recently:

I have to say the CLT airport observation park is probably one of the best I've seen. Wish more airports would have these!

What kind of widebody traffic it get? Just the Fedex tri-hole and the A330 and 40?

It gets mostly a330 and an occasional a340 when the a330 breaks. Cargo 74's are rare and the AN-124 comes sometimes. the guard there is about to switch to C-17s so they'll be some bigger stuff now.

From today, storms made a very nice scenic backdrop.
