Berlin Express Returns to Flight

Post by RyanS » Sat Apr 20, 2019 9:45 pm

EAA's B-25 Mitchell "Berlin Express" returned to the sky today! I'm not sure of the full backstory, but it was in the museum there for a while and certainly wasn't flyable when I climbed inside a few years ago. They obviously put in some decent work to get her back to flying.

Seems like a pretty relaxed first flight though, usually they treat things pretty gingerly but the video shows a couple really low passes with smoke on. Glad it was safe at least. The paint scheme is great!

Neato. Cool to see smoke on a B-25. Just wish we were gaining warbirds faster than we were losing them.
