Aircraft Crash (Possibly Flying Wing) in Chino CA

Post by RyanS » Mon Apr 22, 2019 9:24 pm

I'm seeing reports of an aircraft crash in Chino, CA today. One article says it was a single engine Cessna, one article says it is Planes of Fame's N9M flying wing. Photos certainly appear to show a huge (and presumably fatal) impact.

I'm seeing more reports indicating it was the N9M. Sucks

By now I’m sure most are already aware that the aircraft involved was the Flying Wing from Planes of Fame Chino. A very tragic loss that has also taken the life of the pilot.

Here is a link to the AirshowStuff article regarding this incident for those that haven’t seen it yet:

Thanks, I got busy writing and forgot to circle back. The pilot's name was passed around almost immediately but it was officially released today. RIP David Vopat.
