USAF Pave Hawk Crash in Iraq

It appears a USAF HH-60G Pave Hawk helicopter has crashed in Western Iraq, no word on the crew other than that there were reportedly 7 pob. The AF's HH-60Gs are designed for CSAR, and are in Iraq supporting coalition forces fighting ISIS in Syria.

A U.S. military aircraft has crashed in western Iraq with U.S. service members aboard, according to an Air Forces Central Command spokesman.

Rescue teams are responding to the scene of the downed aircraft at this time, said Air Force Lt. Col. Damien Pickart.

Defense officials told The Associated Press that there is no reason to believe at this time that the Pave Hawk was shot down.

Also keep the crew of -2 in your thoughts, it has to be terrible to see, and arrive on scene of your brothers' accident.
