Naf El Centro Helicopter Incident

A Helicopter has been involved in a incident as confirmed by Naval Air Facility El Centro's facebook post: " We are currently still responding to what we have confirmed as a single helicopter incident. We ask that you continue to be patient with us as the situation unfolds." Praying that everybody is safe!

More info by their Facebook: "We are aware that an accident involving a single helicopter occurred a short time ago in the vicinity of the area north of Plaster City. We are responding along with other agencies to the scene. There are several other helicopters in the area assisting with the incident. We will update you with more information as we receive it. NAF El Centro’s FB page will be the source for official information for the time being"

-1st Lt. Samuel D. Phillips of Pinehurst, NC
-Gunnery Sgt. Derik R. Holley of Dayton, OH
-Lance Cpl. Taylor J. Conrad of Baton Rouge, LA

These pilots were killed in freak helicopter accident near NAF El Centro. The investigation is ongoing. May the pilots Rest In Peace
