Thunderbird #4 Killed In F-16 Crash at Creech AFB 4-4-18
Sad news for sure, thoughts with the families and teammates. RIP
As far as the season goes, honestly I wouldn't be surprised if either the team themselves, the AF issues an extended duration safety stand-down. wrecking 3 $28 Million jets in less than 3 years isn't good (Regardless of the causes), add onto that the seeming 'out of the blue' firing of the previous commander last year, I think there will be a long, hard look at the procedures and practices in place in the squadron. (Somewhat similar to what happened after the Blue Angels' McWherter incident, and then later after Jeff's accident), but probably a more lengthy process.
While I do enjoy watching them fly, I do think a long duration stand-down would be good for the team. Only time will tell.

The name has been released, and as expected it was Thunderbird #4 who was killed.

The Thunderbirds posted this video from Cajun's funeral on their Facebook page. Lots of moving scenes here...

Indeed, and a nice album of photos here; http://afthunderbirds.com/site/2018/04/ ... l-service/
That first picture was very moving to me, the remaining 5 TB delta pilots walking in Vic without Cajun in slot.

The Air Force released the crash report today. It sounds like Cajun G-LOCed during the Split-S rejoin and did not recover.
