By the sounds of it the aircraft definetly had power, looks like it was in a flat spin and being a vintage warbird it was unrecoverable at a low altitude.Airshow4444 wrote: ↑Wed May 30, 2018 9:32 pm Video from CBS New York appears to show the aircraft in a spin

Typical Airshow Guy!
Plus, I hear those planes are notoriously sluggish to handle and require a lot of muscle to move. Must be a difficult recovery at any altitude.BradleeG102896 wrote: ↑Thu May 31, 2018 3:04 am By the sounds of it the aircraft definetly had power, looks like it was in a flat spin and being a vintage warbird it was unrecoverable at a low altitude.
I feel especially bad for Bob Johansen. It must be really hard to continue to provide support for the team after losing a family member in a crash. I wouldn’t be surprised if he completely leaves the team.
Interestingly, their website is now more or less offline, just an announcement about Ken. Does anyone know how long it took them to recover after the crash in 2007?
