Harrison Ford, according to reports, landed on a taxiway instead of the approved runway at the John Wayne Airport on Monday. Ford, who was cleared to land on Runway 20L apparently read back clearance correctly but landed on the adjacent taxiway.
It'll be interesting to see is Ford receives a warning letter or even have his pilot's license suspended since he's had previous incidents.

My first instinct was that the media is blowing this way out of proportion due to his name, but if you look at the airport it seems to be a pretty huge error in judgement. I don't think it was simply a parallel taxiway, it looks more like a big ramp. Not sure how that could ever be taken for a runway or why any pilot would continue landing with an airliner in the path.
