A Marine Corps F-35B Lightning II has crashed in Beaufort County, South Carolina. The aircraft belonged to VMFAT-501 stationed at MCAS Beaufort. While the platofrom has had other issues, this is the first time an F-35 has crashed. The pilot was able to eject, and is being evaluated. Few details are available at this time.

The entire fleet of F-35s (Air Force, Marjnes, and Navy) has been grounded following the crash. They will be inspecting fuel hoses in the engines that they suspect to be the cause of the crash.

I can't wait until the entire fleet is F-35s so everything can be grounded together!
