A rare PRU (Photographic Reconnaissance Unit) Spitfire was discovered in the mountains of Norway almost completely intact. The movie The Great Escape details the events of its pilot's encounter with the Luftwaffe. It has been returned to the UK, where it will be restored to flying condition.
