I'm sure they posted most of the invited list to drum up interest for the show since the dates are coming up fast. Hopefully it turns out to be as big as they are hoping to pull off. Things sound promsing.
As for the name, I'm not directly aware of why but I assume they wanted to cut all ties with possibly being related to the previous shows group. With Windsor being advertised for many years now as 'Your Quick Gateway' (YQG) I don't think they'll lose to much on the marketing side.

Also bear in mind the "invited List" of American aircraft is held on high hopes because it will never happen. The USAF is limited to 5 static aircraft only as per USAF regulations and the USMC rarely ever support airshows in general, even more so in case of Canadian shows.

That's only for ACC assets requested through ACC... ANG is another story.

Are you sure about that? Abbotsford had the Oregon ANG F-15 last year and it counted as one of the four USAF statics allowed last year. The second F-15 had to sit on the hot ramp because if it were in the static that would have exceeded the limit of four aircraft.

That's what I was told..
London last year had: USAF B-1, RC-135, KC-135, 3x F-15 on the static ramp.. Plus the 3x F-16 and the 2x F-22 on the hot ramp.. that right there I think covers that the possibility is there. We'll see what happens.

Thanks for the reply Ryan. I was hoping you knew something I didn't. I'll have to mention that to a friend of mine with the Abbotsford show. Maybe that's a loophole they can work with to get more statics. I hope that invited list works out for you guys in the end because it would be a great show.

New Facebook page has been created for Airshow YQG.
https://www.facebook.com/Airshow-YQG-1826552140944064/
Not a lot of info on there, but I can only assume more will be added.

Just noticed along with the new additions that all the USAF additions have also been removed. Either the page is being edited as we speak
or the USAF has been fully removed from the show.
Cheers,
Ernest G.
