Current lineup:

It's been a few years since I've been to the show but I always like hitting Voinovich Park to watch some of the practice sessions. Anybody going this year?

If you park at the muni lot across the street from the airport (along the shoreway) you're not going to get chased out by police to watch practice.

Here's a live look at the airport! There have been two Super Hornet practices plus a Legacy Flight(!!) Sean D Tucker, Bill Stein, the Corsair and Kate, and the Vampire have all flown also. The C-130 demo was about as good as could be expected from a line crew.
Really pumped to see the Legacy Flight, as far as I can remember this is the first one flown in years. Certainly it's the first I've seen in a long time and it was a total surprise!

Thunderbirds just wrapped up practice, a full high show with a couple bonus low show maneuvers. They really seemed to blaze through the routine! Probably some statics yet to come in this afternoon

When I watched that Legacy Flight today I was thinking the same thing Ryan. To my knowledge that is the first "official" Legacy Flight involving a hornet since the pre-sequester days. It was certainly a pleasant surprise. That view looks awesome from the top of the building, but you should have stopped down at the pier at Voinovich Park today. They let us all the way out to the end of the pier for the first time in forever. The Rhino high speed passes along with the T-Birds sneak pass were some of the most intense I have ever seen at an airshow ever and I have been at my fair share over the years. It was a great day by the lake for sure.

I was noticing that it wasn't restricted down there with as much surprise as the legacy flight! I wish I had one day to spend in each place. One year I was able to do that and it was great.MattEv14 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2017 11:06 pm When I watched that Legacy Flight today I was thinking the same thing Ryan. Sitting here on the flightline, I notice that there are NO FLAGS towards the left end of the show line! Might be a good spot to setup!
