Those talks about the RAF were nothing but rumours. I have a friend heavily involved with the airshow and when I asked him in March about the RAF possibly coming (which is when these rumours started) he looked at me like I had two heads and then shook his head no and said that he had no idea where this info came from. A couple weeks ago I asked him again about the RAF had he still said nope but i guess there's still time.

Well unless you know the guy who books the acts, have a source in the RAF or talked to Eurofighter then you'll know this isn't actually the case. I have a contact thats talked to the guy who books the acts, have a friend that's a RAF Eurofighter pilot and have talked to Eurofighter. All 3 confirmed Eurofighters at Abby this year unless they're called away but they have been on the table since Late April and last I heard, a week and a bit ago, are still on the tentative.

Well, time is definitely ticking down for any sort of significant add, but I'll remain hopeful.

airshowdude: if your source proves correct, and I certainly hope so, would the Typhoon be doing a flying demo, or just static?

On to other meteorological rumours, anything new on the possibility of a Tornado making an appearance? What about the hypothesized replacement from the USAF for the B-1 static? Guess I'm still holding out hope for a "wow" add in the next week or so.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but...

There is only 1 RAF pilot qualified to display the Typhoon.

As he is scheduled to appear at Blackpool that weekend, I seriously doubt that you will get a Typhoon display.

I try and keep my eyes and ears open to any Typhoon deployments to North America and I haven't heard of any so I seriously doubt that you will get a Typhoon in static.

Maybe next year?

There is/was a typhoon and a tornado at China Lake in Marc. So they may come up from there.

The Typhoon will be static if it comes but they'll be ripping up the field upon arrival and possibly departure. The B-1 replacement is sounding like a B-52 but I've heard from abby that the B-1 isn't off the table. The Tornado will be a Holloman bird if they have a bird or two to spare.

Like I said when I first started sharing info, I don't post unless it's credible and non of my info is speculation. I'm hoping this stuff comes through as well but if they have other military commitments then that's too bad for us.

One more thing, I'm trying to track down the air force but there could be another F-35 coming for static as well not USAF.

Those were from 41 squadron

They have since returned to the UK and aren't scheduled to return to the U.S. until later this year

There's been a small update to the static page. Nothing worth mentioning.

The F-16 Fighting falcon and F-86 Sabre will now join the F-35 Lightning and P-51 Mustang for the Heritage flight during the twilight show. Awesome news on that, as originally we were only getting the F-35 and P-51 for Friday evening.
