2017 Abbotsford International Airshow
The smoke is still covering the valley, however visibility looks improved this morning. At least from where I am looking from. Hopefully the smoke has moved on by Thursday.
A new schedule of events was posted in the local paper. It has the F-16 performing following the Snowbirds on Friday evening. The 4 Ship Heritage Flight will take place immediately following the demo. So for those of you who were concerned about not getting a Friday demo, you can take a deep breath. However, the F-16 demo on Sat/Sun is slotted right before the HFs. I believe the schedule on the website has two separate launches of the F-16 for the demo and the HF, but I would think that is unlikely.
Here's what was posted in the paper:
Friday:
3:30PM - Gates Open
5:45PM - Opening Ceremonies
6:15PM - Snowbirds
6:45PM - F-16 Demo
7:15PM - Heritage Flight (F-16, F-35, F-86, P-51)
7:30PM - Static Display Area Closes
7:40PM - F/A-18F Super Hornet Demo
8:30PM - CF-18 Demo
9:00PM - AeroShell
9:45PM - Fireworks
Saturday/Sunday:
9:00AM - Gates Open
10:45AM - Opening Ceremonies
11:00AM - Skyhawks
12:30PM - F/A-18F Super Hornet Demo
1:30PM - CF-18 Demo
2:15PM - F-16 Demo
2:45PM - Heritage Flight (F-16, F-35, F-86, P-51)
3:00PM - Aeroshell
3:35PM - Snowbirds

I was hoping to see the F-16 3 separate times. Fuel costs I guess is the reason.

Keep in mind schedules like this are fluid and act more like guidelines than strict schedules. Things change on an hour to hour basis due to things like weather, mechanical issues, and the happenings of normal airport operations at YXX with airlines and Conair. Regardless, lots of jet action at this years show and its going to be awesome!

Are these going to be static or the ones preforming the demo?

Was thinking the same thing - it would seem unlikely that they wouldn't have what sounds like a large demo already on the schedule. But wait and see I guess.
As for the F-35s, the RNLAF ones are statics, and I would guess there'll be a USAF one (or two) here, with one flying in the heritage flight. Still a shame with what sounds like at least 4 F-35s coming, an actual flying demo wasn't able to happen.
Obviously, all of the other rumours are strongly appearing false, and the only meteorological condition for us will be the less than exciting smoke, which could be lingering for up to the next two weeks according to one tv weather report.
It's too bad - a Typhoon or a Tornado would certainly have helped blow away all of this smoke!

Ah ok. I read that differently then. Thought there would be USAF and RNLAF F-35's static.
Not false but reassigned. The Typhoon's that were committed to us have been called out to another mission so those won't come. The Tornados I haven't heard anything lately but doubt those are coming but they were to be from Holloman. I'm also wondering what will replace the B-1B as there's still a spot open and I hope it's not left open. The third F-35 was a typo, It's just 2 coming afaik.

Well, first good Abby Airshow promotion just occurred: 2xCF-18s did a couple of low passes over English Bay.
