I can vouch. There was also an event happening in Vancouver today if you pay attention to the Abbotsford Airshow social media pages.

A new schedule of events was posted in the local paper. It has the F-16 performing following the Snowbirds on Friday evening. The 4 Ship Heritage Flight will take place immediately following the demo. So for those of you who were concerned about not getting a Friday demo, you can take a deep breath. However, the F-16 demo on Sat/Sun is slotted right before the HFs. I believe the schedule on the website has two separate launches of the F-16 for the demo and the HF, but I would think that is unlikely.

Here's what was posted in the paper:

Friday:
3:30PM - Gates Open
5:45PM - Opening Ceremonies
6:15PM - Snowbirds
6:45PM - F-16 Demo
7:15PM - Heritage Flight (F-16, F-35, F-86, P-51)
7:30PM - Static Display Area Closes
7:40PM - F/A-18F Super Hornet Demo
8:30PM - CF-18 Demo
9:00PM - AeroShell
9:45PM - Fireworks

Saturday/Sunday:
9:00AM - Gates Open
10:45AM - Opening Ceremonies
11:00AM - Skyhawks
12:30PM - F/A-18F Super Hornet Demo
1:30PM - CF-18 Demo
2:15PM - F-16 Demo
2:45PM - Heritage Flight (F-16, F-35, F-86, P-51)
3:00PM - Aeroshell
3:35PM - Snowbirds
will there be a more accurate schedule? What I mean by that is will there be a schedule that shows the aerobatic planes, vampire jet and the other aircraft listed to perform on the Abby website?

That's about as updated as the website schedule will get. It is just a baseline as Lukas mentioned. Generally the local news features the same schedule as the Airshow Program a couple of days before show time, which is more detailed so if you wait a few days I'll be glad to share it when it becomes available to me.

Looking forward to seeing the "tentative" arrival schedule from Bingonfuel in the coming days, and yes there is a reason why I put emphasis on the word tentative.

I will be able to provide by the hour updates as aircraft arrive next week as I work on the air field (non airshow related) so stay tuned.

Unfortunately, no pics from me. I live in Kits and heard that familiar approach noise: both passes were made from West to East, and then turned right to the south - that turn took them almost directly over my building. They were lower than expected, and kicked in a little extra afterburner on the second pass.

Do you have pictures or a source?
The two CF-18's were part of the Celebration of Light event last night.

That's what heard. I live in Kits as well but I thought you might've had pics or video.

Any intel of status of fireworks and pyrotechnics due to ongoing dry conditions/fire ban? I know two years ago it was a similar situation but nothing was affected.

Any idea if the static birds ( a10, f15, etc) are single ship or pair ?

The pyro should not be affected as it is done by professionals with precautions in place. If there are any changes, it would be to the day time shows as the risk of fire is the highest then. If memory serves me correct, there was no pyro on the Saturday and Sunday shows last year.

I can confirm the F-15s will be coming in pairs. I can't speak on behalf of the A-10s ect though, but it would be out of the ordinary for them to attend alone.
