Most fighters come in pairs. In fact, except for the CF-18's, I've never seen fighters come in solo.

They prefer to come in pairs so that they can practice formation flying but airframe and pilot availability and a hotel room here would probably trump that.

They also always do a preburn of the airfield around the pyro locations to minimize the fires that need to be put out after it goes off.

That's correct. One came in the early afternoon and the second came in around 7:00 the same evening.

Apologies guys, been working like a maniac last couple weeks.

No pyro this year.

Look for at least 1 of the Super Hornet demo team Wednesday mid afternoon. Not sure if it's just 1 of 2 or both at this point. But expect 2 practices Thursday.

Snowbirds, and all 3 F-35's Thursday between 11 am til 330 ish. This is tentative of course.

F-16 n CF18 demo team Thursday sometime. And Steve Hinton's F-86 as well.

F16's for the NORAD demo are from Oklahoma ANG. 2 other CF18's should arrive for that demo, and another 2 for static.

As for static it's anyone's guess. Some Thursday, more Friday, and looks like some straggling Canforce assets Saturday morning.

I'll keep you posted for relevant or interesting updates as best I can. Now we just need the smoke to clear!

What do you mean by no pyro and what is a NORAD demo?

3 F-35's? So that means 1 RNLAF and 2 USAF? Also, What base are the Static F-16's coming from?

Awesome info! Thanks as always, iceman! Err, I mean Bingofuel.

By my count, that means we should see Snowbirds, 3xF-35, at least 5xCF-18, at least 4xF-16, 2xF-15, 2xA-10, the F-86, and a trainer or two. A few heavies, and some assorted warbirds. Missing a bomber, but maybe a last minute surprise?

And thanks again for the approx. times (and any updates): makes it easier to plan the timing of my drive from Vancouver.
