The U.S. National Aerobatic Championships will be held at Oshkosh's Wittman Regional Airport for the first time this year. It usually takes place in Sherman/Dension, Texas, and has for the past 45 years. The event is expected to draw about 100 pilots who will compete in 5 categories: Primary, Sportsman, Intermediate, Advanced, and Unlimited. Among these pilots will be Rob Holland, who will look to gain his 7th consecutive Unlimited Championship Trophy. There is no formal list yet of all the pilots attending.
The week long event will be held from Sept. 23 - 29 with awards being handed out on Sunday the 29th.
