It is a show for kids and their families sponsored by Ronald Mcdonald House, so that is why they don't sell tickets for that. Your best bet is to stick around late on the Thursday evening. Last year, the A-10, CF-18, Rob Holland, and a few others went up. I hope someone with a really nice camera can get some good shots and share them.AvgeekJoe wrote: ↑Sun Jul 28, 2019 5:39 am Now I learned this from comments on the Abby Airshow Facebook page so you should trust but verify:
I just wish they'd sell tickets to this also... because right now Mr. Joe who wants more A380 pictures feels really... Beyond Sanity prioritizing an airliner and possibly a political chatshow over a second airshow!!!Blair Thandi: Joe A Kunzler Not a show, Thursday would be arrivals. There is a mini airshow from 5-8PM on that day as well. The CF-18 goes up as the sun is setting, and it looks amazing.
Sunset is 8:37 PM that night, bTW.

So Nellis has confirmed that the 64th Aggressor F-16 that will be on display at the show will be the one with the new Ghost scheme! Very cool if you ask me.

Totally understandable. Yeah, give the kiddos & families their space.Viper93 wrote: ↑Sun Jul 28, 2019 9:24 am It is a show for kids and their families sponsored by Ronald Mcdonald House, so that is why they don't sell tickets for that. I may go, may not go. Depends on 2 or 3 things...

A question for AIAS. With the lack of forest fires this year( so far) is it a possibility to have a Conair plane on static or flying? It has been a long long time since this has happened. Great work on the statics, looking forward to arrivals!!

Highly unlikely. Almost of Conair's aircraft are deployed elsewhere. Even if one is still at YXX, their priority remains immediate readiness for departure.

As the show draws closer, the static announcements just keep on coming! Two T-38 Talons from 80th Flight Training Wing in Texas confirmed!

Did the airshow ever announce this? I don't see it on the website, I'm assuming it will come through later this week...

I’ll fix that, thanks.

ACC Aerial Events Public Static schedule now shows the Nellis F-16's for Abbotsford. Any little bit of reassurance is good
I have a feeling that the F-5's are gonna cancel though. They've cancelled from a few shows lately including Thunder over Michigan couple days ago.
Hope I'm wrong!
