Thunder Over Michigan 2019 "Corsair Crazy"
Enjoyed the show last Saturday. We got there around 9:30 and had to walk WAY down to get on the fence.....reminded me of the walk out at Selfridge. Found out about the shuttle bus which saved some walking time later on.
Still have mixed feelings about the new layout, and other than the battle things do seem a tad far away. Tents are out of hand too....take up way too much of the area.
I agree, one hour from the gates opening until flying goes fast.....we usually wander through the statics at that time but couldn't do it this year. The two hour intermission was enough time for us to stand in line to climb into the cockpit of Marine's Dream...pretty cool experience.
Nice mix of planes flying, weather was great, but it's a weird feeling that we're still in early August and the show is already done. Looks like it's back to late August next year.

Friday O-2 shot may be my best Skymaster photo ever.
Saturday night shoot was the main reason for coming this year after superb results last year. Corsairs were an added treat.

I believe Ray Fowler was flying the CAF FG-1D and Mike Schiffer was flying N179PT. Not sure about the others.
