Correct me if I'm wrong @Copperbeltjack, but I don't believe there will be a Lethbridge show in 2018. I think it is every other year, so 2019 would be the next.

If that's so then all my friends in Alberta are lying to me and I'll have money to spend on another airshow.

Seems as though the show is still on as the A-10 demo is coming.

It's entirely possible, and wouldn't necessarily surprise me. There was talk after this year's show as to whether organizers would put on a 2018 show or wait until 2019. From what I'm seeing, it looks like 2018 is a go.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but according to the ACC A-10 demo schedule posted by the ACC Aerial Events page, Lethbridge has been cancelled. Also the official webpage says the show will be back in 2019.

I'm sure Cold Lake is the reason.Dan Gagnon wrote: ↑Mon Dec 11, 2017 6:31 pm I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but according to the ACC A-10 demo schedule posted by the ACC Aerial Events page, Lethbridge has been cancelled. Also the official webpage says the show will be back in 2019.

The Lethbridge International Airshow changed from an annual event to every 2 years. The last airshow was in 2017, the next airshow will be in 2019.

Hi all!
Was just doing a web search and stumbled upon this thread. With due respect for the age of the thread - I Figured I'd respond.
Indeed there was never a plan to have an Air Show in Lethbridge for the 2018 season. Lethbridge became a biennial show after 2011. One reason for this - was that the military could not guarantee their support annually based on the number of shows in the region. Organizers (at the time) felt that without a strong military presence, there was little hope of selling enough tickets to justify the effort. Which - at the time - wasn't an unreasonable perspective.
Later - we did cancel the 2019 show. The reasons for that cancellation were multiple - but not the least of which; the loss of long time supporter, volunteer, and friend of our show - Mr. Brent Botfield. His passing happened during a significant turning point in the evolution of our core leadership team. Subsequently, his absence became a substantial challenge for the organization.
Our Board of Directors has continued to meet monthly in a concerted effort to restructure our business model and produce an event in 2020 that we know will be worthy of the wait.
Official announcements will be coming soon. We promise.
