Don't miss venturing onto the Pratt & Whitney Ramp, where it will be possible, for the first time and in complete exclusivity, to set foot on board one of the two Boeing 747 SPs, C-GTFF and known as the appellation Flying Test Bed 4, having been converted into a flying test bed by Pratt & Whitney Canada.
Pratt & Whitney established its flight test center right here in Mirabel in 2010 to test the full range of Pratt & Whitney Canada and Pratt & Whitney USA engines.

MILITARY ZONE ANNOUNCEMENT
We are VERY excited to announce that the Canadian Armed Forces will be returning to Volaria with an immersive military zone again this year!
What awaits you there:
Demonstration of tactical insertion and extraction from two CH146 Griffons during the air show on Saturday AND Sunday
Information booths and booth at the Job Fair presented by Aéro Montréal
Exhibition and demonstration booths on several trades and specialties of the Canadian Forces with the possibility of handling certain pieces of equipment
Shooting simulator (festival-goers will be able to enter the trailer and try out the C7 assault rifles thanks to the shooting simulator)
Demonstration of ground maneuvers
Military music performance
Vehicle exhibition (CH146 Griffon, CF18 Cockpit, rigid hull inflatable boat and various land vehicles)

A few from Mirabel on the weekend. The Thunderbirds and Aeroshell were definitely the highlights of the show. The show itself was decent but the show set up could be better. There were no speakers in any of the GA areas so no one was able to know what was going on with the show, there were lots of long pauses between acts where everyone just had to wait and see what was going to happen. The large barbed wire fence covered in Volaria signs on the front of the crowd line in the ICAR Complex wasn't ideal either, it blocks a lot of the view. Since it's only 20 minutes from home I'll probably be back next time but it will definitely depend on the that acts they're able to get in next year.
