I enjoyed my visit to the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum near Hamilton, Ontario last Thursday before moving on to Toronto for the airshow. The cool part about it was that I got to see the museum's Lancaster flying on my over there. It's quite a sight to see, considering that there are only two Lancasters still flying in the world today. Some other noteworthy aircraft in the collection (airworthy and static) are a Fairey Firefly and a Canadair Sabre jet which actually flew at one point with a former RCAF aerobatic team known as the Golden Hawks. Currently the museum is restoring a Bristol Bolingbroke to static condition and a CS2F-2 Tracker to flying condition. Here's a couple of my favorite moments from my visit.
Here's the video I made if you want view more of my photos as well as a video I took of the Lancaster being towed in for display.
If you had not been to this museum yet, it is definitely worth checking out.
