Hi Star8383 (or anyone else),
Since I don't have a digital photo of the Golden Knights' C-31 yet, I'm considering stopping by at Milwaukee on my way to Oshkosh. I'm assuming all of the participants will be flying from MKE? Do you happen to know where on the field the show planes tend to be parked before and after their display please? And is there a runway they typically use, or are they slotted in with the departing/arriving airliners?
Thanks for any information!
Roger

They do all base at MKE. Unfortunately I have not been there during the show so not much else to add. Hopefully for your sake they don't use the ANG ramp!XL446 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 27, 2018 7:25 pm Hi Star8383 (or anyone else),

Hi There,
The Golden Knights have always staged from the Signature FBO on the North end of the field. Normally when the TFR is in effect, 19R will be used for departures and 25L for arrivals. The exception will be (this year) is the Thunderbirds. It will be a toss up as to what they will do on departure as they could use 25L for departure which is right off the 128th ramp or 1L which is also a very easy back taxi from the 128th. For the recovery they could use 1L or 19R again it is a toss up. The nice thing about where the Golden Knights park however is there is an viewing area right where they will park it is off of Layton Avenue. You will be shooting through the fence, but this is the best view you will be able to possibly get as they will need to taxi right past this viewing area. All of the civilian performers will stage from Signature, everything else will be from the 128th ANG ramp as mentioned. 99% of the time I will use this lot as my prime area for photo's.Hope this helps! Scott

Wesite has added bill stien--- the usual set of rudi performers.
Website also says that a new performer will be announced with a picture of f-15s. Hmm??
Anyone have an actual idea who will be performing?

May not be appropriate here, but today a Milwaukee KC-135 made an emergency landing after reportedly getting struck by lightning over Chicago!

So they have updated ththe perfomers for this weekend. Gotta admit, Im not to happy that up until yesterday, the show insisted that certain acts were coming. They have removed the f18 (which we all knew in May), the a10s, and the t38 talons today. Gotta admit im not thrilled that this happens on a yearly basis with this show...seems like they post acts to sell tix, then remove.
