Aerobatic Pilot and Former IAC Judge & Board Member Sigrid M. Baumann Passes Away

Sigrid M. Baumann passed peacefully after a long and extraordinary life on November 18, 2023. Sigrid is survived by her husband, Hans Baumann; her children, Peter Baumann and Margaret Cating; and five grandchildren.

Her passions were flying, music, and gardening. Of those, her greatest passion was flying. She spent many happy years flying aerobatics out of Eliott, Maine. In later years, she served as an International Aerobatic Club judge and board member, as well as the official translator to the U.S. National Aerobatic Team at the IAC world competition in France in 2000.
