It's been almost three weeks since the Press of Atlantic City leaked their "airshow in trouble" article which became "airshow saved".
I'd say it's been quiet on any airshow news since then but there's also been a lot of bad press in and about Atlantic City since then (eg. the raid on the mayor's home, the charges against the ACHS principal, casino workers suing about the smoking in casinos thing, Spirit furloughing pilots and closing their ACY pilot base, etc.). Hopefully we have a few home runs hit, so to speak, when it comes to the airshow lineup.

Why can't the Casinos put up the $300K?
They have plenty of money and the show is good for their business.
I commented on your post on 3/19 about this and I want to follow up. As I said in my reply the casinos typically mail out promotional material to both my wife and I as we have our own separate casino cards for each casino in AC. At that time she got something from Borgata (and I didn't) about free garden tools and accessories. We've both gotten promotional stuff in the mail since then from Tropicana, Caesars, Resorts, and Hard Rock all advertising what's coming up in the next few months along with "hey we're also offering $10-20 in free slot play during certain days/weeks". No free or comped room offers were mentioned in those mailers, and in searching our accounts, we again have no free or comped room offers. That tells me they are having a difficult time getting rooms booked and can't afford to be giving out comped rooms - and people are probably getting tired of paying $400+ a night on Friday and Saturday nights.
