Just wondering is the super Hornet that was performing (or was suppose to perform) at the airshow coming from either VFA-106 or VFA-122 because I don’t see either demo teams listed the airshow on their schedule so idk if it’s a last minute addition from one of the demo teams?

There was no super hornet in today’s show, not sure if because of the two hour delay or just a no-show. No C-17 or KC-135 either. C-5 listed in performers was a static. Unless they brought a second one.

Yes, the weather at today's (4/6) air show (JBSA) was a bummer...delayed the show to 1:00pm. The show schedule had to be modified, curious what other performers had to be cut from the schedule. I was hoping for some more military jets, like the F-18 Super Hornet and F-15 Bayou Militia (I saw them there sitting on the northern tarmac).

Got some nice photos of Tora! Tora! Tora!
The CSAR (A-10's and Jolly Green II Helicopter), F-35 Demo, and P-51 Mustang.

Bummed about the weather....

It was a messy day for sure. We had a plan to shoot all pyro for the Blackhawk if everything else fell through. Would have been hilarious. F-15s are part of CSAR and did not have ceilings at the time of flying. Marine F-35B got scratched. No one told the c-17 or kc-135 and were told to go home because they could not get fit in(flew in from Altus). There is no super hornet demo here and there was never supposed to be. Wrong typing in the bases part. On the other hand, if anyone has photos of the a-10s over the wall of fire, I’d love to see them! I shot it. Rifle brought the A-10s nicely in for us.

iPhone screenshot from my video but should still work. Bummer about the heavies that went home. Would’ve hoped to see them tomorrow.

I know Wings of Blue was cut, and Shetterly Squadron was on the schedule but did not perform. The B-25 Mitchell did a back and forth in front of the crowd but did not go airborne.

Joe Shetterly didn’t fly due to him flying the lead A-10 in the CSAR. Not sure about his dad and brother.

Thank you for the update.
Please let me know how it goes tomorrow as I will not be able to make it.

Thank you.

That would explain it. We stood on the 2nd deck of the Michelob bar/stage to get some elevation and because we didn’t have chairs, so we couldn’t hear the speakers that well. Once the clouds cleared, it did make up for a decent show given the challenges.

Would have really liked to see the F-15's. They should have just sent them up and they could have just done flybys, no one would have known the difference.
